• Demonstrate understanding of physical education content and disciplinary concepts related to the development of a physically educated person.
• Demonstrate understanding of how individuals learn and develop and can provide opportunities that support students’ physical, 认知, 社会, 情感发展.

Students who choose to major in physical education at the University Mount Union will have ample opportunities to observe and teach in the classroom within a variety of educational settings. 你是否想成为一名教师, 教练, 管理员或教授, Mount Union会让你快速找到有价值的职业, 具备所有必要的技能, 知识与经验.

Field experiences provide you with the opportunity to go out into classrooms and gain practical experience, 毕业后，中学教育事业成功的关键是什么. The Mount Union大学’s CAEP accredited Teacher Education Program candidates gain more than 600 hours of experience in real classroom settings, 观察, 在他们毕业的时候协助和教学. 因为这些实地经验, you will have the opportunity to discover what does and does not work in a classroom setting as well as apply strategies learned in your courses and find out what will be your best practices.

Mount Union的学生也可以利用我们的临床交流项目. Students can broaden their horizons by choosing a clinical placement through the Chicago Semester Program or at a Native American reservation school.

健康与体育学生(SHAPE) is a student led organization that provides those interested in health education and physical education with development opportunities to enhance skills, 知识, 专业成长.  SHAPE is open to any UMU student with an interest in health and/or physical education to promote active and healthy lifestyles. 

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) 是教育专业的国际荣誉吗. KDP was founded in 1911 and promotes excellence in and recognizes outstanding contributions to education. KDP的成员是有价值的教育理想的典范, express an intention of continuing in the field of education and show evidence of leadership abilities. 

全国学生教育协会 is a student-led organization on Mount Union’s campus, and is open specifically for education majors.
